In the past, MIDCOM expanded services at our new towers and provided AirTouch
900MHz pager service for the West Michigan area. AirTouch Paging
was sold to Verizon and changes were made.
Effective immediately, Verizon Wireless no longer sells pagers at local
facilities. You may call them at 1-888-699-8977 or purchase a Verizon Pager
on the Internet at VerizonWireless Messaging. You will be shipped a new pager and it may be operational upon arrival.
Changes were made to procedures for existing pager customers as well. If you should have a problem with your AirTouch pager, you are now required to contact Verizon at
1-888-247-7890. You will tell them your pager number and answer all of the questions they choose to ask. Verizon no longer provides pager exchanges to its customers. You will need to purchase a new pager. The helpful Verizon telephone person will inform you of what you need to do.
Clearly, these new Verizon procedures eliminate our ability to provide local service and support.
