In 1982, MIDCOM Service constructed the first UHF Community Repeater located
within the City of Muskegon. Through the years, our repeater systems have
grown to serve countless business and public safety applications, including
Professional Med Team Ambulance and the MED 2, MED 4, MED 5, and MED 6 repeaters providing communication services to all the Muskegon area hospitals. As our private wireless repeater systems grew, MIDCOM constructed the first UHF community repeater systems in the Grand Haven area as well. Currently, most UHF/ VHF repeater systems are designed to meet the specific private wireless needs of a large business user or a public safety/ local government agency. In Muskegon, the Muskegon Area Transit System (MATS) uses a private E.F. Johnson 800 MHz repeater system to coordinate mass transit bus service throughout Muskegon County. In Ottawa County, two private 800 MHz E.F. Johnson repeaters provided service to the original Mobile Data (MDT) system for Ottawa County 911. The Ottawa County MDT system was the first of its kind in the Western Michigan area. Virtually every public school system in Muskegon County and the Tri-Cities area relies on UHF two-way radio systems provided by MIDCOM to coordinate the operations of their school bus fleets.
Over the past 30 years, MIDCOM Service has been a leader in custom designed
UHF/ VHF/ 800 MHz private wireless repeater systems serving large users in Muskegon, Ottawa, and Oceana
counties. Call us ! Let us help provide solutions to your wireless communications system needs.
